As part of activities aimed at developing a sense of social responsibility among our Faculty's students, the "AFAD Volunteer System Introduction Program" was held on October 8, 2026, at 11:00 AM in the Faculty of Forestry Conference Hall.
In an informative presentation delivered by Isparta AFAD staff member Barış AKTAN, students were briefed on the steps they must follow to become AFAD volunteers. Explanations were also given about the content of the trainings offered within the volunteer system, such as disaster awareness training, fire awareness training, tent setup training, humanitarian aid and psychosocial support training, and field search-for-missing-persons training.
During the program, the importance of students becoming aware of disasters, learning about participation in volunteer activities, and developing a sense of social solidarity was emphasized.
At the end of the event, certificates of appreciation were presented to AFAD staff members Barış AKTAN and Hatice Dudu EROĞLU by Vice Dean Prof. Dr. Yasin KARATEPE, followed by a group photo.
