As part of the "Community Introduction Days," held on October 7–8, 2026, in coordination with the Rectorate of Isparta University of Applied Sciences and the Department of Health, Culture and Sports, the Discover the Forest Community, the OEM Young Woodworkers Community, and the Nature Observations Community, which operate under the Faculty of Forestry, took part with their information stands.

At the event, which was attended by students from various academic units, particularly newly enrolled students, as well as academics, the aims and areas of activity of the communities were introduced. Students had the opportunity to meet communities that match their interests and to learn about the scientific, social, and cultural dimensions of university life.

The Discover the Forest Community, operating in cooperation with the General Directorate of Forestry (OGM); the OEM Young Woodworkers Community, operating under the Department of Forest Industry Engineering; and the Nature Observations Community, operating under the Department of Wildlife Ecology and Management, brought our Faculty's accumulated knowledge in forestry, wood, and nature to students. Community representatives informed the students visiting the stands about their ongoing and planned activities and invited them to take an active role in community activities.

During the event, our Rector and Vice Rectors, the Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, our Vice Deans, and our Heads of Department also visited the community stands and met with students. By supporting students' adaptation to the university and enabling interaction among participants from different disciplines, the Community Introduction Days provided a valuable setting for our Faculty's student communities to present their work across the university.

As the Faculty of Forestry, we continue to support community activities that enrich our students' professional development with social and cultural experiences and strengthen nature and environmental awareness. We thank our University's Rectorate and the Department of Health, Culture and Sports for their support and contributions to our student communities, and for their efforts in organizing and coordinating the event.
