As part of orientation activities aimed at supporting our Faculty's first-year students in adapting to university life and raising their awareness of the various risks they may encounter, an informational training session titled "Online Betting and Gambling Addiction" was organized in coordination with our University's Addiction Control Coordination Office and the Isparta Provincial Police Department's Cybercrime Combating Branch Directorate.
At the presentation, delivered by Police Officer Sercan DÜDEN on October 8, 2026, at 9:30 AM in the Faculty of Forestry Conference Hall, students were made aware of betting, games of chance, and gambling-related applications they may encounter online, and attention was drawn to the individual, social, and economic risks such activities may pose.
At the end of the event, a certificate of appreciation was presented to Police Officer Sercan DÜDEN by Vice Dean of our Faculty Prof. Dr. Yasin KARATEPE, followed by a cocktail reception for our students and guests.
