On Thursday, April 30, 2026, a field application was conducted for the 3rd-year students of the Department of Forest Engineering at Isparta University of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Forestry. The study took place within the regeneration areas (tensil sahaları) of the Çukur Forest Sub-District Directorate, under the Isparta Regional Directorate of Forestry, as part of the Silvicultural Techniques and Forest Transportation Techniques courses.
Accompanied by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatih TONGUÇ and Res. Asst. Hakan DURGUN, the technical visit provided students with the opportunity to examine their theoretical knowledge through on-site observations. The application focused on regeneration activities, silvicultural intervention methods, and technical field applications within the Çukur Forest Sub-District. Furthermore, information was shared regarding the extraction of forest products from the field, transportation planning, and the functional use of forest road networks.
During the field inspections led by the Forest Sub-District Manager, Mr. Mehmet ÖZMIŞ, students enhanced their professional experience by observing forestry operations firsthand. We would like to express our gratitude to Mr. Mehmet ÖZMIŞ and the staff of the Isparta Regional Directorate of Forestry for their contributions, guidance, and for sharing their valuable expertise with our students.
